Over the past seven years, the Valley View Area has undergone a remarkable transformation, concentrated on the restoration of a nearly one-mile-long section of the Cuyahoga River and 195 acres of the former golf course.
It’s poised to become a vibrant hub of activity, fostering connections and linking cycling trails, including the extensive 100-mile Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail, and a network of 125 miles of regional trails, all while connecting them to the 88-mile Cuyahoga River Water Trail.
Construction of the River Access Area began in June 2023 and will be open to the public on July 30, 2024. The above photo was taken in late-September 2023. The below photo was taken in late-April 2024, during a volunteer planting day.
